Newcastle’s joy was short-lived, when Alexander-Arnold continued to cross the ball awkwardly, allowing Salah to tap the ball into the net with his right foot in the 28th minute. Once again, the Newcastle defender was not close enough to mark him and allowed the Egyptian star space.

Rondon did not have to wait long to calm down, equalizing 2-2 in the 54th minute. From a Newcastle corner, the away team could not clear the ball far.
