That is the information that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism released on the afternoon of September 23.
The first Hanoi Adoration Ritual Festival is divided into two phases.
In the second phase of the Festival, 10 typical literature groups selected from the first phase will perform at the Cong Nhan Theater on October 4 and 5.
An Adoration ceremony.
Mr. Nguyen Khac Loi, Deputy Director of Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that the reason Hanoi organized the festival of adoration rituals is because the Department wants to inventory and initially document intangible cultural heritage.
According to Professor Ngo Thinh, Director of the Center for Research and Preservation of Vietnamese Religious Culture, the worshiping ritual originally originated from the southern provinces of the Northern Delta such as Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, and Ninh Binh.
Professor Ngo Thinh also said that the current ritual of worshiping literature is still very chaotic, thus losing the health and artistry of this activity.
Artist Quoc Chiem, a member of the organizing committee, said that because it is a folk activity and not a professional activity, the Festival does not interfere deeply with the content, art or beliefs of the performances.
The festival is considered a positive activity to help people and even the adoration groups themselves have a correct and healthy view of this artistic and spiritual ritual.
