Some people sitting on the `hump` waved and shouted in Pashto as the plane prepared to accelerate.
The C-17’s four jet engines increase power and the plane increases speed before the video ends.
The video was shared on Twitter by Indian journalist Sudhir Chaudhary.
The US Air Force has not confirmed whether the C-17 in the video belongs to this force or not.
An Afghan air force official said the US C-17 transport landed at Kabul airport the same day and was carrying cargo.
Another video showed about 3-4 people falling from the C-17 as the plane gained altitude.
