On September 10, India’s NDTV channel published satellite photos of the area between mountains 4 and 5 on the south bank of Pangong Tso Lake, saying the Chinese army `is occupying and establishing new outposts` in the area.
These satellite images show that the Chinese military also reinforced existing structures on the north bank of Pangong Tso Lake, while new units concentrated troops to control the mountain branches along the lake.
NDTV said the Chinese army did not leave the 4th mountain branch area, despite the two sides agreeing to withdraw part of their forces along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) after many rounds of negotiations over several months.
India and China have not commented on this information.

On September 3, media reported that a Tibetan-origin special forces member of India’s Forward Special Forces (SSF) was killed and another person was injured in a mine explosion near Pangon Tso lake, raising suspicions.
