'The place of summer?' 2
Recently, Nguyen Nhat Anh – the writer known as the one who revives childhood memories – shared very truthfully about the childhood and summer of today’s children, especially those living in the city.
I am one of Nguyen Nhat Anh’s longtime fans.
Writer Nguyen Nhat Anh.
I was impressed with the words shared by the childhood writer: `These past few days, it’s been so hot in April that I don’t want to go anywhere. I have free time to sit and turn over the pages of old books and suddenly realize that I write a lot about summer.
I always remember the excerpt from My Childhood with Loi: `My childhood was spent in the fields, every summer I spent my days under the sun wandering around bushes to catch crickets, find bird nests, dig potatoes, pull beans, and break sugar cane.
Summer in Nguyen Nhat Anh’s book is clear, gentle and pure like `clear well water, floating starfruit flowers and sparkling drops of sunlight falling through the leaves` (quote from My Little Angel).
Those were dreamy summer days.
“In front of the Dutch house, there is a trellis of Thien Ly dotted with yellow flowers.
The summer of childhood simply takes place in the small yard, in the back garden or around the village streets, but it is colorful and full of endless joy.
With just a few short lines of quotes like the one above, I’m sure `those who were once children` suddenly felt like a sky of memories rushed back.

Nguyen Nhat Anh is known as the writer of childhood.
I agree that, this summer, if there are no conditions to take their children out to play far away, urban parents can still take their children to appropriate playgrounds – places with badminton, swimming or other games.
Just think deeply about this: If you sow summer and childhood memories in the fields of technology, what will children reap in the future?
Should we temporarily leave the screen and experience life to find a place for real summer in our lives?
Excerpt from the thought-provoking sharing of `Summer’s Place` by Nguyen Nhat Anh published in Thanh Nien newspaper:
1. These past few days, it’s been so hot in April that I don’t want to go anywhere. I have free time to sit and turn over the pages of old books and suddenly realize that I’ve written a lot about summer.
Those innocent and naughty childhood summers naturally entered my works.
My 54-episode series `Kaleidoscope` is written about school topics, but in it there are many episodes in which the trio Quy Rom, Tieu Long and Hanh invite each other to roam around the countryside, go out to Vung Tau, Da Lat and join in the fun.
2. Summer for children, especially city children nowadays, doesn’t seem to be the same.
Not long ago, I heard a story about an elementary school student sitting dumbfounded when he was asked to describe a cow in his writing assignment, because since he was little, he had never `jumped in the countryside` so…
Playing games, surfing the web, surfing the web, watching movies and listening to music through network utilities like YouTube is not bad.
Online games (which can now be easily played on phones with mobile game technology, not just web games like before) have their appeal, and if the game’s content is healthy, it can still meet the needs.
If you sit too much in one place, your eyes will get tired, and your health and nerves will also be affected.
3. When I was a child, my friends and I mainly played physical games, outdoor games such as soccer, soccer, capture the flag, blindfolded goat hunting… During the process of translating the work I See Yellow Flowers
Ms. Kato Sakae is a foreigner, it is understandable that she does not know about Vietnamese folk games.
The core of the problem lies in this: if we consider the benefits, we can see that outdoor sports games are always good for the health of people in general and children in particular.
For those reasons, this summer, if there are no conditions to take their children out to play far away, urban parents can still take their children to appropriate playgrounds without having to change many trains: badminton
