In recent years, artist Chi Trung has rarely acted but focused on theater directing and stage management.
Artist Chi Trung chose to create `Inspector` because the work conveys many social frustrations.
Chi Trung said he spent a lot of time poring over 42 out of 100 world classic plays, finally choosing The Inspector by Nikolai Gogol.
The Inspector’s script when translated into Vietnamese has 115 pages.
In parallel with the process of honing the script, Chi Trung also selected the staff to create the play.
The drama `The Inspector` is on the rehearsal stage at the Tuoi Tre Theater.

The Inspector was written by Russian writer and playwright – Nikolai Gogol – in 1835. Like most of the works in his career, this is an ironic and satirical script.
The play is about a civil servant who wanders to a remote, isolated town.
