Production workers at the factory of TNG Company (Thai Nguyen).
There are more than 1.6 thousand workers, Mr. Nguyen Van Thoi – Chairman of TNG Company (Thai Nguyen) said that businesses want and are ready with the budget to buy vaccines to vaccinate workers, just need the Government and the local authorities.
In addition to finding a plan to buy vaccines, Mr. Thoi said, TNG has activated the Covid-19 prevention and control plan at the highest level based on the 5K principle, spacing production at each workshop and factory, to prevent the epidemic from `overflowing`.
The business is contacting Thai Nguyen province’s health department to coordinate to organize rapid group testing for all workers to eliminate the possibility of infection and have a plan to immediately quarantine suspected cases.
Meanwhile, the leader of a textile enterprise in Hung Yen also expressed his wish to receive support from the Government in purchasing vaccines through socialization.
In the first four months of this year, the textile and garment industry showed many signs of improvement compared to the same period when some of Vietnam’s main export markets gradually recovered and took advantage of opportunities from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).
The textile production index increased by 7.8% over the same period, apparel production increased by 9.5%;
But the ability to reach growth levels like in 2019 – the time before Covid-19, is a high goal for garment businesses.
Currently, the country has nearly 400 industrial parks, 30 border gate economic zones, 20 coastal economic zones, and the total direct workforce in these zones is nearly 4 million people.
